I know it ended up helping us tie the game, but why give up one of your final 3 outs on a sac bunt?

Fun weekend of baseball. 3 wins is always nice and we did it w/out the top of our order coming through at clutch time. Very happy for #6. In the post game he talked about working on outside pitches this past week. It paid off for him and us. Great game #6 and #14!

Dawgs turning it up at the right time. The experience of this team is really coming through. Hoping to finish off the year strong these last few games and getting a conference USA regular season championship. We hold all the cards! Hbtd!

Tough day for McConnell and for Swistak. Cole was 0 for 5 with 3 Ks and a bonehead play in the field. Swistak goes from pitcher of the week in CUSA to getting hammered today. Davis was only 1 for 5. We got behind 5-0 and their being able to salvage one of the series looked very likely...only the Dawgs had other ideas. Given all of that, it's remarkable we won today.

DBU seems to have found its groove again, but Liberty continues to struggle lately. This is a goofy, ya-just-never-know league with teams taking turns to be hot, and the cold, and then hot again.

Sitting at 33-13 with 10 games left. Yes, we can go 7-3 to get to 40 wins in the regular season. Won't be easy, as all three remaining series offers challenges. Even NMSU scares me with the way they can score runs (won 22-8 today). Then it'll come down to the conference tournament. Hope we hit one of those "hot" spells that week.

Tech won in real Bulldog form this weekend. They didn’t seem to let anything unnerve them. Every game was a test in one way or another. SHS is no team to take lightly. If Tech didn’t break their spirit they’re going to give some other teams some trouble. This weekend and especially today was one of the better team efforts since almost everyone was called on to make whatever contribution they could muster. It’s hard to say for sure but maybe even Harland did the best he possibly could. Great sweep Dawgs!

I would prefer NOT to have to play SHSU in the conference tournament. I think we used up all of "the luck" we have with them.

Best weekend of regular season baseball at home since Rice in 2016...

    Sam Houston is good

Thought we might of went to the hook Swistak a little early yesterday but it worked out

It was a great weekend of baseball

NMST worries me - quirky ballpark at altitude and a place we have historically stunk

McConnell needs to find his mojo again this week - after the first at bat Saturday he didn't come close to touching anything

Not playing Bates in right field has gotten his legs back under him and has made all the difference on the mound

Take care of business this week and it's sitting right there for them to take the last two weekends of the season
    ''Don't be a bad dagh..."

Umpire provides the new ball to the pitcher. Pitcher must be on the rubber and wait for the umpire to put the ball back in play. Pitcher must then step off the rubber and make the intention clear and what the appeal is. Throw to Jorge who steps on the plate. Decision time! BOOM. Love it.

One of my umpire YouTube channels has a great breakdown of this for those interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVJKpQarW_Y
