Timely hitting…….we should learn how to do that
SHSU is a dugout full of terrible attitudes
Well you don’t see that everyday
If we don't ride this gift to something good, then well...
Any win is a good win, even under this circumstance, eh!
Go Dawgs!
A game that Tech should’ve won comfortably if they could’ve had a few timely hits by the guys who are usually the most dependable. SHS should’ve won if they could’ve capitalized on the momentum they had when they got Tech’s best batters out in key moments. It was a well earned win even if it was strangely lucky. Of the notable things about the bearcats, they’re a bunch of complainers, coaches and players. It would be great to sweep them right out of Ruston. Go Dawgs!
I don’t believe they showed it on the broadcast. How did we announce the appeal for the batter missing home plate? Did the pitcher have to take the rubber and then step off? Did LB just go to the ump? Was just curious.
On a side note, by far we have the worst commentators for a broadcast! Literally our color guy (was that Teddy Allen) said of the batter who missed home plate.. “Bless his heart!”….. seriously? Guy’s a joke!
Pitcher had live ball after the play. He tossed it to Corona who stepped on the plate for the out. Home plate ump called him out because he saw the miss at home. Same thing as missing a bag. The SHS coach asked for a replay but the out call was upheld.
The next batter tried to stand in the box and treat the throw to home as a pitch to his at bat but the ump had called timeout
I don't have a guilty bone in my body...that's probably a flaw of mine. As for the game, we were damn lucky and that technicality of taking a HR off the board is a gift. Or, do you think the Dawgs somehow earned it? Perhaps you can explain how. And it did WIN the game because as you admitted the game would have been tied. BTW, has Broderson ever been hammered like that before? I don't remember him giving up a HR that was an effing rocket leaving the park. Funny thing, when that dude stepped up, two outs, no one on, I said to myself, intentionally walk him, or throw 4 pitches so off the plate, maybe he'll chase a couple or at worse, he walks. Bam! that's why I always trust my instincts, they never let me down.
Comeaux was shaky at 3rd today, hopefully he's gotten that out of his system.
They got two 2-out hits and we excelled in your favorite category of LOB. Made worse because it was mostly the top of our order guilty of it.
SHSU is probably very pissed, they will try to take it out on us tomorrow. As someone else posted, they do whine a lot. Another BTW, the ump behind the plate today was awful. Missed a lot of balls & strikes. The guy last night was very good.
Go Dawgs! get out the brooms!
That catcher hit the ball hard several times. Broderson throws pretty hard too, so good contact could scream off the bat even more.
DBU completed the sweep over FIU. DBU bounced back, this is a huge result for them, and possibly for CUSA toward getting two bids.
A SHSU fan predicted they would 10-run-rule us today. They are off to a good start in that regards...
