This is what is going to happen.

1. We get selected to the Sugar Bowl vs Georgia, the most talked about game out of all Bowl games.
2. LaTech wins Sugar Bowl.
3. Vince Dooley hugs Derek at midfield. Georgia and Tech fans gives standing ovation.
4. State of Louisiana embraces Louisiana Tech.
5. People throw away their Purple and Gold and put on Tech blue shirts.
6. BCS schools start calling for Dooley. Rumor mill starts.
7. Dooley announces he is staying at Louisiana Tech. Signs multi-year agreement.
8. BCS ends, we go to playoff system
9. World hunger ends.
10. We acheive world peace.
11. Dooley receive top 100 recruits
12. We see a significant enrollment increase.

The Indy will be up for grabs again on one side. Unless the Belch has three 7 win teams the Indy may come calling again. Unless the Indy gets a sponsor look for them to lose both SEC and Big 12 after 2009.

I tend to agree with bluecrew. Games at Navy and home against Hawaii might be the keys to whether we have another winning season, despite us being a better team.

We beat Boise this year.

7-5. Playing 4 out of 5 long road games from 10/24-11/21 with the lone home game being Boise is too much to overcome. Otherwise would be 8-4. With substantial improvement at QB and kicking game, 8-4 is still possible but must avoid injury at Auburn and play mistake-free at Navy.

I personally see five wins as pretty sure things: New Mexico State, Idaho, Nichols State, Utah State and San Jose
Out of the rest of the games I don't know any that I would completely count us out in: LSU seems to be the least likely for us to win. Boise, Fresno, Nevada, Auburn, and Navy I would put at roughly %50 plus or minus %10, so I think we win 2 of those games. Hawaii is tough but I think we pull it off. I say we end up at 7-5 or 8-4. We win the Auburn game and you will se my wildly optimistic side come out. Anything 7-5 or better and I will be pleased with Dooleys third year. Back to back winning seasons would sure be a welcome change and back to back bowl games would be almost unimaginable. I have to fight my inner optimist and keep my expectations real.
