Playing some real powerhouses...not. Of course, it doesn't matter, I know. Could play a slate of Top 10 teams and get beat by 40+ points each game or win some games against other dregs like these. Still comes down to winning the conference tournament if we want to dance. But truthfully, I don't even care about that anymore. Just think it's time to stop spending money on WBB and all other non-revenue sports, and greatly reduce spending on football and MBB too. By "stop spending" I mean operate a bargain basement program. Hire a local high school coach, pay $40,000 or something like that and let it rip.

Does it really help that much? It may impress a fan who doesn't look to closely but if I'm spending big money on a coach I'm certainly digging deep into the resume.

Nobody is spending big money to get our coaches when the contracts expire at the end of this next season. So, whatever midsize to small school they go to the AD simply needs to be able to sell the hire to the average fan that the coach has a winning record and maybe comes from a school that is seen as a step above them, even if it is historically above them such as Tech.
